Father, we pray for the teenagers and young adults. Captivate their hearts, press Yourself in upon their consciences. We cry out for them that they would have such an encounter with the word of truth and Spirit of God that they are forever changed. We pray that their hearts would become steadfast, all other passions fade and they would live their lives for that one holy passion.
Many have asked Jesus into their heart, but their commitment is weak and their spiritual lives are shallow. In these critical formative years of deciding what’s important and the formation of their character and values; pour out Your Spirit upon them.
Bring those who do not know you to the Passover Feast and to the understanding of grace and mercy. They would see the Lamb of God slain for them a surrender their lives and trust in You to pass over their sins. Bring them and others on to the feast of unleavened bread. I pray they would remove the leaven from their lives and put away corruption from their hearts, eyes, ears, minds and souls. Free them from the clutches of the enemy that keeps them in bondage.
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.” 1 Corinthians 5:7
Bring them out of the land of their captivity and to a place of crisis where their enemies have them trapped and you open a way delivering them, baptizing them, and destroying their enemies. Do a work of circumcision of heart, cut off the love of the world, the love of self, and the pride of life. Next show them the poison of bitterness in their heart, cut off bitter roots and make their bitter springs sweet by leading them to forgive those who they have an offense.
In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ. Colossians 2:11
Lead them on to the mountain of smoke and fire bring them to the Feast of Pentecost and encounter with the supernatural God. Write you law upon their hearts. Baptize them with power and open them up to Your gifts, Your anointing, and the Spirit realm. We pray they would not be like those who turned away in fear and sent Moses up the mountain, while they turned away to a “safer” worship of gold and the idols of the past.
O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Isaiah 40:9
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24
Lead them on to the Feast of Trumpets and times of testing in the desert and deepen their walk and faith. Teach them spiritual warfare, prayer, intercession; teach them how to bring salvation, deliverance, healing and impartation to their generation. Let God arise and let their enemies be scattered. Raise up many to live the lifestyle of a warrior – disciplined, focused, obedient, self sacrificing, bring them through the desert and into their own land of milk and honey. Give them the faith and strategies to win the victories over the giants in the land; victory over the secular culture, and over the perversions. Come Lord dwell in the midst of this generation.
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7
I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised… No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life… I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:3-5.
